Max & Harvey are pop singers from the United Kingdom[1]. They rose to fame on the social app musical.ly[2] in March 2016 with real-life videos[1] and have more than 5.12 million followers on the app[3].

Career

Harvey Kitt Mills and Max Luca Mills[4] are identical twins. [5] They began singing at eight years old[6] and joined the social platform musical.ly in March 2016[1] and began creating their videos by lip-syncing to songs from a variety of musicians, including Shawn Mendes, Avicii, Bastille and more, before creating their own original content[7][3][1].

After success with musical.ly, Max & Harvey released their debut single “One More Day in Love” in December 2016[8][6][9][7]Which recently hit 2 million views. The release was followed up by the release of a cover of DJ Snake and Justin Bieber’s song “Let Me Love You” in January 2017[10], the original songs “Stuck on the Ceiling” and “Words” in October and November 2017[11][12][13][14]. They released their first Christmas single, “I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday” in December 2017 [15]. And the 12th of October 2018, they released their latest single, Trade Hearts.

In 2017, BBC’s children’s television CBBC aired, ‘My Life: Max & Harvey,’ a documentary produced by the duo, which gave fans an inside look into their lives and career[16]. That same year, Penguin UK published Max & Harvey: In A Book which chronicles their Musical.ly careers and the path to making their CBBC documentary as well as giving readers an inside look at their lives[17][18].

In April 2018, it was announced that Max & Harvey were the first signing to RMI Records, a new label formed by Disney Music Group[19][17].

Max & Harvey joined singer Zach Clayton on his Nothin’ But Love Tour in the US in May 2017[20], it was the first time they had performed in the United States. They kicked off a seven date tour in the UK in February 2018[21]. In June 2018, Max & Harvey opened for New Hope Club at O2 Shepherd’s Bush Arena[17][19]. And in July 2018, they announced their tour, The (we wanted to name our tour something really cool but couldn't think of anything so please see us and hangout with us) Tour .

The duo was nominated for Muser of the Year at the 2017 Shorty Awards[22][23][8]. In 2018, they were nominated for Social Star at the iHeartRadio Music Awards [24] and Favorite Social Music Artist at the Radio Disney Music Awards, which they went on to win during the awards on 22 June 2018[25][26].

In September 2018, Max and Harvey reached 1 million followers on Instagram.

Max & Harvey cite their father[6], Shawn Mendes and Justin Bieber as their biggest inspirations[27].
