Matt Wheeler

Matt Wheeler (also known as Matt JL Wheeler) is a British screenwriter [1][2] and producer who has worked in TV and film.

Wheeler graduated from Cambridge University with a degree in English literature,[2] before attending the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television where he gained an MFA in screenwriting.[3][4] He was awarded the BAFTA scholarship, and in addition to winning the 2010 UCLA showcase competition, he was also granted the prestigious Samuel Goldwyn Award.[1]

Wheeler adapted "The Informant" for Sony (based on the Thomas Perry novel)[5] and "Tin Men" for Warner Brothers.[6] Since 2015, he has worked on the CBS hit Hawaii Five-0, writing numerous episodes.[7] Wheeler co-created the summer event series, Salvation, which premiered on CBS on July 12th 2017.[8] [9]He wrote the screenplay for the 2016 film Who Gets the Dog?, starring Alicia Silverstone.[10]
