Incident with Daryl Metcalfe

On December 5, 2017 during a committee meeting Bradford briefly touched the arm of Daryl Metcalfe. Metcalfe took issue with the unwanted touching saying "I'm a heterosexual. I have a wife. I love my wife. I don't like men as you might so stop touching me all the time. Keep your hands to yourself. If you want to touch somebody, you have people on your side of the aisle that might like it. I don't."[3] Metcalf claims he had repeatedly asked Bradford to stop touching him before the incident. Metcalfe has reportedly been a longtime opponent of same-sex marriage and homosexuality. In 2015, he called the Supreme Court's decision to legalize same-sex marriage "judicial tyranny." [3] Metcalf has since been criticized by Gov. Tom Wolf for the homophobic comment.[4]
