Mary Laschinger (born circa 1959)[1] is an American business executive.[2] She is currently chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Veritiv Corporation,[3] a company listed on the New York Stock Exchange[4] and list on the Fortune 500 in 2016.[1]

Early life and education

Born circa 1959,[1] Mary A. Laschinger[3] grew up on her family's dairy farm in the community of Arkansaw, Wisconsin.[2] She grew up with several siblings.[4] After graduating high school she worked several odd jobs and spent several years attending a local tech school. She was 21 when she began attending university,[1] and in 1985 she graduated with a degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.[2] Later on, she completed her MBA at the University of Connecticut. She also completed her postgraduate studies at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management in executive management.[2]

Career

In 1985, Laschinger went to work as a production planner for Kimberly-Clark[1] She afterwards worked for James River.[1]

She joined International Paper Co. in 1992, where she held various roles. She was a senior vice president of the company from 2007 until June 2014. From January 2010 until June 2014, she was the company's president of its xpedx division.[2]

She is currently chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Veritiv Corporation.[3]

By June 2016, Laschinger was one of 21 women CEOs of Fortune 500 companies.[1]
