Mark Picchiotti is a club DJ, producer, songwriter, and remixer based out of Chicago, Illinois.

Biography

Mark Picchiotti remixed songs in the mid-1990s for such artists as Madonna, Pet Shop Boys, Paula Abdul, Jaki Graham, and Shiva.[1][2][3] During this period, Picchiotti also gigged at London's Heaven and Ministry of Sound.[3] In 1995, using the alias Nightman with production partner Teri Bristol, Picchiotti entered the US dance chart with the song "Paul's Pain". Three years later, Picchiotti formed his own indie label, Blue Plate Records. Its initial release, "Pump the Boogie", was credited to Picchiotti alter ego Fondue.[4] Pichiotti, using the alias Basstoy, teamed with frequent collaborator Dana on the 2001 single "Runnin'", which peaked at number 13 on the UK Singles Chart. Pichiotti topped the US dance chart in 2008 with the single "Turn It Up", again credited to Basstoy. In 2017, he remixed Tom Connan's track 'You Didn't Give Them a Chance'.
