Mark Christopher Scarsi is an American lawyer from California and is an announced nominee to be a United States District Judge of the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
Education
Scarsi received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science from Syracuse University, and his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the Georgetown University Law Center.[1]
Career
Prior to entering the legal profession, Scarsi worked for seven years as a software engineer, designing and developing detection and signal processing computer systems for U.S. defense applications.[1]
He currently is a partner in the Los Angeles, California, office of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy. There he serves as the Chair of the firm’s Global Intellectual Property Practice and the Los Angeles office’s Managing Partner.[1]
Intent to nominate to district court
On October 10, 2018 President Trump announced his intent to nominate Scarsi to serve as a United States District Judge for the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
