Mariana Renata (born Mariana Renata Dantec; 31 December 1983, Paris) is a French-Indonesian model and actress.

Born to a French father and an Indonesian mother of Javanese-Chinese-Dutch descent, Mariana started her modeling career at the age of 14 in Jakarta, Indonesia.

She obtained an undergraduate degree in English Culture and Literature from the University of Paris (Sorbonne) and her Master of Commerce at the University of New South Wales in International Business.[1]

In 2005, she took a supporting role in the Indonesian film Janji Joni, or Joni's Promise, directed by Joko Anwar.[2]

She won Most Favorite Supporting Actress at the MTV Indonesia Movie Awards for the role in December 2005.[3]

Among other appearances, she was featured in the made-for-Indonesian-market version of Josh Groban's music video, She's Out of My Life, appeared in the Indonesian version of Rivermaya's song Balisong (Filipino band), and appeared in the Indonesian TV Series Dunia Tanpa Koma (DTK), in a cameo role.[2]

She was one of the Indonesian icons for the beauty soap product, Lux. The brand launched short movies for each of its stars and in 2006 Mariana starred in The Match Maker, directed by Nia Dinata.

She has featured in tv commercials including Ponds, Sunsilk, Lux, Aqua, Olay, Tresemme, Sunsilk, LG, Impulse, Sunbeam, Qantas, Cadillac, Samsung.

Mariana has been based in New York City since 2011, where she is represented by Wilhelmina Models and Innovative Artists.
