Maria Porges (1954)[1] born in Oakland, California, USA[2] is an American visual artist, writer, and associate professor at the California College of the Arts.[3] Her artwork focuses on sculpture and drawing, and has been exhibited nationally in solo shows and group exhibitions since the late eighties.[4] She was a 1992 recipient of the SECA Art Award.[5]
Collections
Porges’ works are included in the permanent collections of public institutions, including the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.[1]
