Mari Osaka (大坂 まり Ōsaka Mari, born 3 April 1996) is a Japanese tennis player.[1] She is the older sister of Naomi Osaka, who is also a professional tennis player.
Biography
Osaka was born in Japan to a Haitian father and a Japanese mother.[2] She speaks both English and Japanese, and grew up in Fort Lauderdale.
Osaka made her WTA tour debut at the 2014 Bank of the West Classic, in the doubles event partnering with Marina Shamayko, losing in the first round to Varvara Lepchenko and Ajla Tomljanović.
