Marcus Högberg (born November 25, 1994) is a Swedish professional ice hockey goaltender. He is currently playing with the Belleville Senators in the American Hockey League as a prospect to the Ottawa Senators of the National Hockey League (NHL). Högberg was selected by the Senators in the 3rd round (78th overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
Playing career
Högberg made his Swedish Hockey League debut playing with Linköpings HC during the 2012–13 Elitserien season.[1] On March 17, 2013, it was announced that Linköpings would loan Högberg to Mora IK of the lower HockeyAllsvenskan for the duration of the 2013–14 season.[2]
After his fourth season in the SHL, Högberg was signed to a two-year entry-level contract with the Ottawa Senators on March 30, 2017.[3] He was signed by AHL affiliate, the Binghamton Senators, to a professional try-out deal to close out the 2016–17 season.
