Marcin Dorna (born 17 September 1979) is a Polish football manager.
Dorna originally aspired to become a PE teacher. He studied Physical education at the University School of Physical Education in his hometown of Poznań. During his studies, however, he voluntarily managed the children's team of amateur club UKS GOSiR Dopiewo, based in the small village of Dopiewo, just outside of Poznań. During that time, he discovered his passion for football team management and decided to pursue a career in that field after successfully graduating.[1]
From 2002 to 2008, Dorna managed several youth teams of Lech Poznań. He made a name for himself as a promising young manager in Poland during that period. In 2008, he left Lech Poznań and was hired by the Polish Football Association (PZPN). In 2010, he took over the Polish U-17 National Team, with whom he reached the semi-finals of the 2012 UEFA European Under-17 Championship.[2]
In 2013, he then replaced the unsuccessful Stefan Majewski as the manager of Poland's U-21 National Team. He will coach the Polish U-21 team during the 2017 UEFA European Under-21 Championship, which Poland will host.[3]
