Manuela Velasco Díez (born 23 October 1975, Madrid) is a Spanish TV presenter and actress.[1][2]

Career

Velasco starred in the Spanish horror films REC,[3] REC 2 and REC 4: Apocalypse.[4] In 2007, she won the Goya Award for Best New Actress for her performance in REC.[5]

In 2005 she hosted Cuatrosfera, by Cuatro.[6][7] In 2009, she starred in La chica de ayer, by Antena 3, the Spanish version of Life on Mars.[8]

In 2010 she portrayed Eugenia de Molina, the duchess of Monfragüe in Águila Roja, by TVE.[9] In 2011 she appeared in the TV series Ángel o demonio.[10]

In 2012 she played Ainhoa, the woman who fall in love with Luisma (Paco León) in Aída.[11]

In 2013 she played Cristina Otegui in the TV series Velvet, who is fall in love with Alberto Márquez (Miguel Ángel Silvestre).[12] In 2014 the second season was released.[13] In 2015 the third season was released, where Cristina has his worst moments of his life.[14] The fourth and last season was released in 2016.[15]

In 2016 she played Todo es mentira, theatrical adaption of the homonymous film of 1994, portrayed by Penélope Cruz and Coque Malla.[16]

In 2017 she appeared in the stage play Bajo terapia with Gorka Otxoa, Fele Martínez and Melani Olivares.[17]
