Manesha Chatarji[1][2] is an Indian actress who predominantly appears in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Odia productions. She appeared in Sita Rama nka Bahaghara Kali Jugare (Odia; 2017)[3][4][5] and Sitaramula Kalyanam Chuthamu Raarandi (Telugu; 2017).[6]

Career

Manesha Chatarji[7] was born in Kolkata. She currently resides in Mumbai, Maharashtra. After appearing in Wanted, she appeared in commercials in print and on television.

In 2009, she acted in Thambivudayaan[8] along with Aditya Anbu, Nizhalgal Ravi, Charu Haasan, Kadhal Dhandapani. The film was directed by Raja Mahesh. In the same year, her first hindi movie is World Cupp 2011 is a 2009 Bollywood sport and crime film directed by debutante Ravi Kapoor. It stars Ravi Kapoor and Manesha Chatarji in leads.[9]

After a break from film, Manesha Chatarji joined the cast of Sakthi, a Tamil soap opera on Sun TV. This serial was later remade as a Hindi serial named Dil Se Di Dua... Saubhagyavati Bhava?. The show ran from June 2014 to March 2015 with 205 episodes.

In 2015, Manesha Chatarji[10] signed on for two movies, the Telugu film Udyanavanam 2[11][12][13] and the Tamil film Tea Kadai Bench.

In 2016, she signed on for two more Telugu movies, Anthuleni Prema and Sita Rama nka Bahaghara Kali Jugare (Odia).[14][15]

In 2017, her first Odia movie, Sita Rama nka Bahaghara Kali Jugare, was released;[16][17][18] Chatarji played the lead role with co-star Sabyasachi Mishra.

The Telugu version of Sitaramula Kalyanam Chuthamu Raarandi[19] is still in post-production.

In 2018 Manesha Chatarji turned to co-producer in upcoming India’s first teen thriller movie '1978 A Teen Night Out'.[20]
