Mammal Club were a three piece band based in Newcastle Upon Tyne. The band consisted of Wilson Astley (Guitar/Lead Vocals), Adam Hiles (Guitar) and Colin Liddle (Drums). Founded by ex members of Yourcodenameis:milo and The Eyejab, the band developed a large following in their local area and performed well received support slots for Everything Everything and Little Comets, along with festival shows at The Great Escape, Stag and Dagger, and Evolution Festival.[1]

The band's debut release, The Au EP, was recorded in their lock up located in a secret location within Newcastle.[2] Going beyond a simple rehearsal area, this space has also been used by the band to record video sessions of their tracks, as well as hosting intimate gigs the band occasionally organised.[3]

On 15 August 2012, the band announced through a blog post that they had decided to end Mammal Club, citing dissatisfaction towards the music scene.[4]
