Maktub (book)

Maktub is the collection of columns by the Brazilian novelist Paulo Coelho first published in the Brazilian newspaper Folha de Sao Paulo. The columns are mostly short stories and parables inspired by diverse sources and folklore. As the columns received huge popularity, the author decided to publish his favourite texts from the columns as a book for a wider readership. The book was published in 1994.[1] [2]
