Mahendra Mewati is an Indian theatre and film actor known for his theatre productions like Aurangzeb, Katha Ek Kans Ki (written by Daya Prakash Sinhaar), Crime and Punishment, Thanku Baba Lochan Das[1] and for films Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (2013), Chintu Ji and Tevar.[2] He has also directed the famous play Oedipus Rex (written by Sophocles).

Early life

Mahendra Mewati[1][3] was born in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, to a Hindu family. He earned a scholarship to study at National School of Drama (NSD) in New Delhi in 1992.[4]
