Mahendra Hardia is the current Member of Legislative assembly Area-5 of Indore city of Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.[1] He is elected from No. 5 constituency of Indore for the record third time.[2] His notable works as an ex health minister includes the successful implementation of Janani Suraksha Yojna,[3] a flagship program of Madhya Pradesh government to provide top class healthcare facilities to pregnant women.
Early life and education
Hardia was born to Keval chand hardia, a reputable businessmen in Indore. He received his education in Indore at reputed Holkar college and completed his B.Sc. Later he completed his M.A. from Indore University ( Currently known as Devi Ahilya University.[4] He showed interest in social work from childhood. His life changed when he joined Bhartiya Janata Party as a youth wing leader.
Political career
Hardia started his career as a youth leader in Indore University. He later joined BJP and was promoted to the post of Health minister in Shivraj Government. He has a huge support base in his constituency and he has been again elected as MLA for the record 3rd time in 2013 elections.
