Mahajan is an Indian title and a surname ( Eg. Navya Mahajan). The term Māhajana(Devanagari:महाजन) though much common in the past,and is still sometimes used to denote traders,merchants,moneylenders,administrators of villages,religious organizations,donated lands,who came from several castes generally considereed as high.[1]
