Magic Boy is a platform video game developed by Blue Turtle and published for the Amiga, Atari ST and MS-DOS by Empire Interactive and the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in North America and Europe by JVC.[1]

Background

The game stars Hewlett, a boy wizard who has accidentally released monsters and turned his master into an elephant. Hewlett has to correct his mistakes and imprison the monsters. In order to do that, he must visit places like the beach, under the ocean, in a dump full of plastic things and into the future.

Gameplay

Hewlett has to defeat his enemies by forcing them into his magical bag and dumping them at key positions. If the monster is left in the bag for an extended period of time, Hewlett will lose a life. Losing too many lives with result in game over.

Reception

GamePro gave the Super NES version of Magic Boy an overall rating of 4 out of 5. Nintendo Entertainment System UK gave the Super NES version of the game a rating of 73%.
