Madison Thomas

Madison Thomas is an independent film writer and director from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Being raised in a mixed-race household (Russian, Ukrainian, Ojibwe, Saulteux) household, storytelling was a large part of Thomas’ childhood and extended into filmmaking in her high school years.[1] After high school, Thomas studied filmmaking at the University of Winnipeg, receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in 2012 and was accepted into Prague’s Film School in 2011.[2] Notably, She also competed in CBC’s "Short Film Faceoff" in 2014,[3] is the co-owner of Prairie Kids Productions,[2] and is a member of the First Nations Talent Bank,[4] and an On Screen Manitoba member.[5]
