Madame Pompadour (German: Die Marquise von Pompadour) is a 1931 German historical musical film directed by Willi Wolff and starring Anny Ahlers, Kurt Gerron and Walter Jankuhn.[1] Part of the tradition of operetta films, it portrays the relationship between Madame Pompadour and Louis XV of France. A separate French version Un caprice de la Pompadour was also released.

Location filming took place at the Palace of Versailles.

The film is not based on the operetta Madame Pompadour by Leo Fall.
