Madalina Bellariu Ion is a Meisner trained actress best known for her role as Elena in The young Pope, alongside Jude Law and for starring in the film Dobaara: See Your Evil.[1][2]
Early life
Madalina was born in Pitesti, Romania.
Acting career
Madalina's most notable television appearance is in The Young Pope[3] (HBO, Sky Atlantic and Channal+) with Jude Law and Diane Keaton, directed by Paolo Sorrentino.
In 2017, she appeared as Daphne in the popular Italian TV series The Teacher on Rai 1[4]
Her short film Love You Papa received the Silver Dolphin Trophy at the Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards.[5]
Madalina played a pivotal role in the official adaptation of the 2013 American horror film Oculus. Named Dobaara: See Your Evil, the film had a theatrical release worldwide in June 2017.[6]
She has played a lead as Nicoletta, a werewolf, in the comedy-horror film Blue Moon, which was nominated for best film at the Screamfeast 2016 in Los Angeles, California.
She has worked with Italian actors, Romanian actors and the Romanian band Morandi.
