Macroglossum semifasciata is a moth of the family Sphingidae. It is known from north-eastern India, Myanmar, Thailand, south-western China, Vietnam, Malaysia (Peninsular, Sarawak) and Indonesia (Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan).[2]

The wingspan is 65–70 mm. The abdomen upperside has very small yellow lateral patches and prominent black patches. The palpus is grey and the thorax underside darker. The abdomen underside has ill-defined buffish-grey mesial patches on the proximal segments. The hindwing upperside base is more extensively black than in similar species.
