Machhra
Machhra (माछरा) is an ancient village situated in Meerut district, Uttar Pradesh, India. It is situated 1.5 km from Meerut Garh road. From Meerut distance of village is approximately 21 km. Machhra is well known for education in adjacent area. Chaudhary Shivnath Singh Shandilay College is situated in Machhra which offers educational programs since 1953. In Machhra mostly Brahmans, Tyagi, Gurjars and schedule caste communities mainly resides. Total population is expected to be near 7,000–8,000.
