Macaulay Gillesphey (born 24 November 1995) is an English footballer who plays for League Two club Carlisle United .

Career

Newcastle United

Gillesphey played for Cramlington Juniors before being signed by Newcastle United where he progressed through the youth ranks at St James' Park and signed a professional contract in March 2015.[3] Gillesphey made his professional debut on 24 September 2015 in a 1–1 draw away at Liverpool in the League Cup.[4]

Carlisle United (loan)

He went out on loan to Carlisle United in September 2015 along with Newcastle teammate Alex Gilliead.[5] On 29 July 2016, Gillesphey re-joined Carlisle United on loan until 2 January 2017,[6] before later extending the deal to the end of the season.[7]

Carlisle United

Gillesphey re-joined Carlisle United on a permanent basis in June 2018, signing a two year contract with the club .[8]
