MD (Ayurveda)

MD (Ayurveda) or Ayurved Vachaspati is the three-year master's course in the Indian medical system of Ayurveda. MD (Ayurveda) is offered in many medical colleges in India and Sri Lanka.[1][2] The selection to the MD (Ayurveda) course is generally done by a competitive written entrance examination, which is open to candidates with BAMS or diploma in Ayurveda degree.[3][1] MD Ayurveda course is offered in several disciplines such as Kayachikitsa Agad Tantra, Dravya Guna, Kaumar Bhritya, Maulik Siddhanta, Panchakarma, Prasuti Tantra & Stri Roga, Roga & Vikrit Vigyan, Rasa Shastra, Sharir Rachana, Sharir Kriya, Shalya Tantra, Shalakya Tantra and Swastha Vritta.[4]
