The MAN TG-range is the range of trucks produced since 2000 by the German vehicle manufacturer MAN Truck & Bus. It is the successor to the original F2000, L2000, and M2000 series. It consisted of the TGA (now discontinued), TGL, TGM, TGS, and TGX.
Since 2016 the TG range is bringing to all five models, with the introduction of the TGE light commercial vehicle is a rebadged Volkswagen Crafter.
Forward control version
The Forward control version was released in 2000, replacing the rest of F2000, L2000 and M2000. It was initially developed in Germany. The first heavy duty cab was the TGA. Available in these model included L, LX, XL, XLX, and XXL. After discontinuing the TGA in 2007, and is now replaced by the new TGS and TGX models. In addition to the manual transmission, this version with the company's TipMatic automated manual transmission currently available.
The TGL and TGM are currently the most selling of light and medium duty category since 2005.
Also in 2007, MAN introduced an option for the 16.2 L D28 series turbocharged V8 engine available in the TGX. In 2012, the updated trucks was revealed after the V8 engine stopped due to less demand. The carryover 15.2 L D38 series in-line six-cylinder engine added into the lineup for 2014, replacing the D28 V8 engine.
In 2016, another updated version was also revealed.
Light commercial vehicle version
The TGE is assembled exclusively by Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles in Września, Poland alongside the Crafter.
