Early life
M. J. is the son of Jackie and James Walker. M. J. has an older sister, Amoni, who plays for Miles College. Jackie Walker played women's college basketball for Hampton University .[1]
High school career
Walker attended Jonesboro High School in Jonesboro, Georgia.
Walker was a five-star recruit who received offers from Florida State, Georgia Tech, Ohio State, UCLA, and Virginia Tech. Walker committed to Florida State.[2]
