Mónica Ramírez (activist)

Mónica Ramírez is an activist, author, civil rights attorney, and speaker.[1][2]

She founded the Latina Impact Fund (which is concerned with investing in Latina leadership and philanthropy education) and Esperanza: The Immigrant Women's Legal Initiative of the Southern Poverty Law Center (which addresses sexual assault and harassment of female farmworkers).[1][3][4] She was also the co-founder of Alianza Nacional de Campesinas (the National Farmworker Women's Alliance).[5][1]

As of 2017 she was the President of the Board of Alianza Nacional de Campesinas, and Deputy Director for the Labor Council for Latin American Advancement.[1]

She is also on the Board of the National Latina Institute for Reproductive Health.[6]

In 2018 she attended the 75th Golden Globe Awards as a guest of Laura Dern.[2]
