Lyonella is a fungal genus in the class Sordariomycetes. The relationship of this taxon to other taxa within the class is unknown (incertae sedis).^[1] A monotypic genus, Lyonella contains the single species Lyonella neurophila, described as new to science by German mycologist Hans Sydow in 1925.
