Luise Sumpf Greger (born 27 December 1862; died 25 January 1944[1]) was a German composer and pianist.
Life
She took lessons at five and at nine she played for the Tsar. She began composing at 11.[2] She continued composing into her seventies and in 1934 her musical Christmas fairytale "Goose Girl" received notice. In 1944 she was euthanized by Nazi Germany. Some of her descendants are American hence a "Luise Greger Music Festival" occurs in Washington State.[3]
