Luis Sáinz Hinojosa

Luis Sáinz Hinojosa ( 21 June 1936 in Tiquipaya) is a Bolivian cleric and auxiliary bishop ad personam in Cochabamba .

Life

Luis Sáinz Hinojosa joined the religious order of the Franciscans and received the ordination on 26 August 1962. Pope John Paul II appointed him on 8 May 1982 as auxiliary bishop in Cochabamba and titular bishop of Thucca Terebenthina .[1][2][3] The Apostolic Nuncio in Bolivia , Alfio Rapisarda, gave him the bishop 's consecration on July 31, Co-consicrators were Gennaro Maria Prata Vuolo, Archbishop of Cochabamba, and Luis Aníbal Rodríguez Pardo , Archbishop of Santa Cruz de la Sierra .

On 24 February 1987, he was appointed Archbishop of La Paz. He resigned from office on 31 July 1996. On 12 September 2001 he was appointed auxiliary bishop of Cochabamba and titular archbishop pro hac vice of Inuca in Mauretania.
