Love Generation is the third extended play by South Korean girl group DIA. It was released digitally on August 22, 2017, and physically on August 25, 2017 by MBK Entertainment under Interpark's music distribution. The EP includes a total of twelve tracks including the lead single "Can't Stop". The EP physically was released in four versions: normal edition, limited edition, BCHCS edition and L.U.B edition. Prior to the release of the EP, music video for "LO OK" by BCHCS and "Darling My Sugar" by L.U.B. was released on August 17 and August 18 as a promotional tool.

The EP was re-released under the title Present digitally on October 12, 2017 and physically on October 24, 2017. The repackaged EP contains of the lead single of "Love Generation" and four new songs including the lead single "Good Night", as well as the duet single "Seoraksan in October" by Yebin and Somyi, which previously released on September 28. The repackaged EP physically released in three versions: Good Morning edition, Good Evening edition and Good Night edition.

Release

The EP was released through several music portals, including MelOn in South Korea, and iTunes for the global market.[1][2]

Promotion

Singles

"LO OK" was released as a promotional single on August 17, 2017. It was released by DIA's unit BCHCS, composed of members Yebin, Chaeyeon, Huihyeon, Eunice and Somyi. A music video was also released on August 17.[3]

"Darling My Sugar" was released as a promotional single on August 18, 2017. It was released by DIA's unit L.U.B., composed of members Jueun, Jenny, Eunjin and Eunchae. A music video was also released on August 18.[4]

"Can't Stop" was released as the title track in conjunction with the EP on August 22, 2017. A music video was released on the same day.[5]

Commercial performance

All four versions of Love Generation charted on the Gaon Album Chart, on the chart issue dated August 20–26, 2017. The normal edition at number 7, BCHSS edition at number 11, the limited edition at number 12 and L.U.B edition at number 13.[6]

All the versions of the EP entered at Gaon Album Chart for the month of August 2017 for its physical copies sold: the normal edition at number 20 with 8,491 copies; the BCHSS edition at number 34 with 4,772 copies; the limited edition at number 36 with 4,690 copies and the L.U.B edition at number 39 with 4,539 copies. For the month of September 2017 the normal edition sold with 1,987 copies; the BCHSS edition with 1,681 copies, the L.U.B edition with 1,322 copies, selling 27,482+ physical copies combined.[7][8]
