Genres Alternative country

Lou Bradley is an Australian singer/song writer born and raised in Sydney's Northern Beaches, later moving to Mullumbimby in her late 20s with her husband and three children.

After leaving home at a young age to join a band in Sydney, Lou didn't start writing her own songs until she moved to Mullumbimby.

She recorded her first body of work as an EP "Hillbilly Pop" in Byron Bay, which gained recognition by John Butler who gave her a grant to help fund her first tour to the Northern Territory.

Her debut full length album Love Someone was nominated for a 2007 ARIA Award for Best Country Album.[1]

Lou has recorded 4 full length studio albums to date, having worked with many of Australia's top producers and musicians and being signed to major record labels, currently working on her 5th album at home, she now focuses on the roots of her music as a writer and producer and is passionate and proactive about promoting the necessity of original music and artists that would otherwise go unrecognized.

She is also the founder of the Australian Roots Music Awards and Nimbin Roots Festival.
