Lotta Ökvist (born 17 February 1997) is a Swedish footballer defender who was a member of the Damallsvenskan club Hammarby IF. She previously played for Swedish clubs Piteå IF and Umeå IK. Ökvist has represented Sweden on the under-17, under-19, and under-23 national teams.

Club Career

After spending time with Piteå IF and Umeå IK in her native Sweden, Ökvist signed with the Boston Breakers.[1] When the Boston Breakers folded, she was selected by the Houston Dash as the 13th pick in the dispersal draft.[2] On 21 March 2018, she was traded to the Orlando Pride for Orlando's third-round pick in the 2019 NWSL College Draft.[3]

On July 3, 2018, the Orlando Pride announced that they had released Ökvist, allowing her to pursue opportunities in Europe. Ökvist never appeared in a game for the Pride. [4]

Hammarby IF of the Damallsvenskan in Sweden announced on July 4th that Ökvist would join them for the remainder of the 2018. [5]

International Career

Ökvist has represented Sweden at both the U-17, U-19, and U-23 levels.[6] In 2015, she helped Sweden win the UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship.[7]
