Lorne Street Primary School
Lorne Street Primary School is a primary school located in the district of Plantation on the South Side of Glasgow, Scotland, near the Paisley Road West thoroughfare. The building was designed by H&D Barclay and opened in 1892.[1] It is now protected as a category B listed building.[2] Its famous alumni include the Rangers F.C. and Scotland footballer Ian Durrant.
John Maclean, the Scottish socialist politician, was a teacher at Lorne Street until his dismissal in 1915 for his political activism.
The new head of Lorne Street is Mr Nicolson.
