M. Lorena González is an American politician on the Seattle City Council. Formerly legal counsel to Seattle mayor Ed Murray, González ran for and won the 9th position in 2015, the first Latina to be elected to the council.[1][2]

Councilmember Gonzalez is also famous for ejecting perennial candidate Alex Tsimerman from Seattle City Hall for one year starting July 13, 2017 after Tsimerman began his public comment to her council committee the day before due to disruptive comments. According to Seattle Met, "Tsimerman spoke for about one and a half minutes and called council members "Nazi social democratic mafia," after which González told him he needs to speak about something on the agenda. After another 20 seconds of him speaking, González asked security to remove him.".[3] The event also made YouTube.[4]
