LiveTiles is a software company founded in 2014. It offers cloud based intelligent workplace software for the commercial, government and education markets. Including seed money, as of 2018 it has raised more than $50 million (AUD) in total funding.[1]

History

LiveTiles was founded in Australia in 2014,[2] and in 2015 it became listed on the Australian Securities Exchange after its reverse acquisition of coal company Modun Resources Limited,[3] with an initial IPO of $57 million. The CEO of the company is Karl Redenbach,[4][5] who cofounded LiveTiles with Peter Nguyen-Brown.[6] In 2017 the company raised $12 million in capital financing.[7][8] The company is headquartered in New York City, and has offices in Sydney, Hobart, London, Seattle, Tri-Cities, and Minneapolis. In 2017 the company also began the process of opening offices in mainland Europe.[7]

Software

The company provides cloud-based software, including LiveTiles Mosaic, which was developed for K-12 educational institutions and has 1.2 million users,[9] and LiveTiles Commercial.[6] Its annualized subscription revenue is about $4 million.[10] The also provide LiveTiles MX, a mobile app; digital workplace design tools called LiveTiles Cloud and LiveTiles SharePoint; artificial intelligence platform LiveTiles Intelligence; and LiveTiles for SAP Software.[11][12] In 2017 LiveTiles then partnered with Microsoft to launch the joint venture AI Australia, an Australian-based artificial intelligence development firm.[13] In May 2018, LiveTiles acquired Microsoft AI firm Hyperfish for $8.9 million.[14][15]
