National Institute of Technology, Srinagar

The National Institute of Technology, Srinagar is the best engineering college in Jammu and Kashmir. It is a national engineering institute located in Hazratbal, Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India, along with other NITs and IITs of India. It is one of the 30 NITs in India, and as such is directly under the control of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). NITSRI was established in 1960 as the Regional Engineering College, Srinagar. The institute shifted to its present campus in 1965. As the Regional Engineering College, the college was affiliated with the University of Kashmir.The Regional Engineering College, Srinagar was upgraded to become the National Institute of Technology, Srinagar in July, 2003.

University of Kashmir (North Campus) & University of Kashmir (Zakura Campus a.k.a Institute of Technology)

North Campus of the university is situated at Delina, Baramulla. The Zakura Campus of the university is situated in Hazratbal, Srinagar and both are affiliated to University of Kashmir for all academic purposes. The campuses are also approved by AICTE for their respective technical courses in Engineering. North Campus offers Bachelor of Technology (B.TECH) degree in Computer Science & Engineering whereas the courses offered by the Zakura Campus are Bachelor of Technology (B.TECH) in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering. Besides this, the Main Campus of the university offers courses leading to Master of Technology (M.Tech) in "Computer Science" and in "Embedded Systems". The eligibility for admission to B.Tech courses in all the campuses is JEE Main while as it is GATE for M.Tech programmes.

SSM College of Engineering and Technology

SSM College of Engineering and Technology is situated in Pattan, Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir and is affiliated to University of Kashmir for all academic purposes. The different engineering courses in the college are Civil engineering, Electrical engineering, Electronics and Communication engineering, Mechanical engineering and Computer Science and engineering.

Bhargava College of Engineering and Technology, Samba

Bhargava College of Engineering and Technology is an engineering college located in Samba, J&K, India. This college is approved by AICET and affiliated to University of Jammu. Indian Institute of Technology Jammu

The Indian Institute of Technology Jammu (abbreviated IIT Jammu) is a public research university located in Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir, India.The Institute came into existence in 2016 when a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Department of Higher Education, Government of Jammu & Kashmir and Department of Higher Education, MHRD, Government of India, was signed, setting the ball rolling to set up an IIT campus at village Jagti, Tehsil Nagrota at Jammu. Currently the institute offers five UG programs namely, B.tech in Computer science, B.tech in Electrical Engineering and B.tech in Mechanical Engineering , B.tech in civi engineering , B.tech in chemical engineering with the intake capacity of 30 in each branch.The admission to these programs is done through JEE-Advanced.

Model Institute of Engineering & Technology, Bantalab, Jammu

Model Institute of Engineering and Technology is a technical institute located in Jammu. It offers undergraduate degrees in different engineering trades and master's degrees in computer engineering only.
