List of ecoregions in Hungary

According to the World Wide Fund for Nature, the territory of Hungary almost exclusively covered by Pannonian mixed forests.[1]

Smaller northern areas are covered by Carpathian montane conifer forests[2]

According to the Freshwater Ecoregions Of the World Hungary is covered by the following ecoregions:

  • Upper Danube ecoregion [3]
  • Dniester-Lower Danube ecoregion [4]
