  1. ↑ Upon being named world's number one DJ in 2016, Martin Garrix (currently 22) became, and still is, the youngest ever number one DJ at 20 years old.[22] This honour was previously held by fellow Dutch DJ Hardwell who won the award in 2013 aged 25.[23]
