List of Canadian ambassadors to Albania. On 10 September 1987, it was announced that Albania and Canada had established diplomatic relations, and, as of that date, the two countries agreed to exchange diplomatic representatives on a non-resident basis at the level of Ambassador when mutually convenient.

  1. On 16 October 1987, it was announced that Mr. Bacon, Ambassador designate to Yugoslavia and Bulgaria, would become Canada's first Ambassador to Albania, resident in Yugoslavia.
  2. Mr. Irwin's appointment marked the change in residency of the Canadian Ambassador from Yugoslavia to Hungary. As Ambassador to Hungary, he was concurrently accredited as Ambassador to Albania, resident in Hungary.
  3. Mr. Kinsman's appointment marked the change in residency of the Canadian Ambassador from Hungary to Italy. As Ambassador to Italy, he was concurrently accredited as Ambassador to Albania, resident in Rome.
