List of South Africa women Twenty20 International cricketers

Women's Twenty20 International is a 20 overs-per-side cricket match played in a maximum of 150 minutes between two of the top 10 ranked countries of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in terms of women's cricket.[1] The first Twenty20 International match was held in August 2004 between England and New Zealand,[2] six months before the first Twenty20 International match was played between two men's teams.[3] The South Africa national women's cricket team played their first Twenty20 International match at the County Ground, Taunton in 2007, facing New Zealand, as the two teams' tours of England overlapped.[4]

South Africa have played 71 Twenty20 Internationals under six different captains.[5] In 2009, South Africa were one of eight teams which competed in the inaugural ICC Women's World Twenty20 held in England,[6] but failed to progress beyond the group stage.[7] They played their first home match during the 2009–10 season, hosting West Indies for three matches as part of a larger tour.[8] South Africa's first victory in Twenty20 International cricket came against Ireland in August 2008.[4] Mignon du Preez is South Africa's all-time leading run-scorer with 1166 runs.[9] Shandre Fritz is the only South African women to have scored a century in a Twenty20 International,[10] scoring the second highest total in any women's Twenty20 International with a score of 116 not out against the Netherlands.[11] Shabnim Ismail is South Africa's leading wicket-taker with 58 wickets.[12]

Since the team was formed, 43 women have represented South Africa in Twenty20 International cricket.[13] This list includes all players who have played at least one Twenty20 International match and is initially arranged in the order of debut appearance. Where more than one player won their first cap in the same match, those players are initially listed alphabetically by last name at the time of debut.
