Courtenay Taylor (Current)
Age 6-11
Hero Level 3

K.O. is the protagonist of the show. He is roughly 6–11 years old,[1] the son of Carol and the newest employee at "Gar's Bodega", located in Lakewood Plaza Turbo.[2] His birthday is June 18, which is also the pin number for his mom's credit card.[3] K.O. is optimistic, loyal and willing to help anyone. While he can be simple minded and naive,[4] he can easily be relied on by his friends whom he cares for deeply. He is also easily amazed by anything hero or weapon related and is always looking for advice on how to be a proper hero usually from his mother though he is sometimes confused by her wisdom. K.O. loves his mom and would usually cry "Mommy!" whenever he sees her or wants to get her attention. In "Know Your Mom," K.O. believed that his mother quit being a hero when he was born, but learns that this was not the case. In that same episode, it's shown that he didn't know her name until then.[5] K.O. has incredibly low intelligence as for a long time he was totally unaware that Mr. Logic was a robot,[6] or that his mom actually cooked his food (he thought it came from the "Dinner Man").[7] He does at times showcase deductive reasoning and has been shown to be manipulative, particularly towards Darrell and Shannon.[8]

Enid

Enid
First appearance "Lakewood Plaza Turbo" (Pilot)
"Let's Be Heroes" (Actual)
Created by Ian Jones-Quartey
Voiced by Mena Suvari (Pilot)
Ashly Burch (Current)
Age Late teens
Hero Level 4

Enid is a human teenager who works as a cashier at the bodega. She claimed she was raised by her supermodel dad and spy mom who forced her to get a job.[9] Enid is the most practical and down to earth of the employees. Despite being the most responsible of the trio, she seems to lack the motivation to actually help people, usually hiding or redirecting people at the cash register. However, she has shown to take care of situations that get out of hand, such as in "We've Got Pests" when she convinced a group of partiers to grow up and discover themselves.[10] Enid was a shy and insecure girl growing up and wished to be a powerful ninja.[11] In "Parents Day", her parents were revealed to be a werewolf and a vampire and that she is technically a witch. She used to be embarrassed by them, especially since they did not like the fact that she identified as a ninja, but they warm up to it and she learns to accept her family's quirks.[12] She had also attended a "Ghoul School" in her youth, but hated it and begged her parents to have her transferred to a normal school. She still reconnected with her old friends despite not having seen them in years. She apparently also used to have witch powers, but forget many spells over the years.[13]

Radicles

Radicles
First appearance "Lakewood Plaza Turbo" (Pilot)

Voiced by Ian Jones-Quartey
Sterling Jarvis (Singing)
Age Late teens
Hero Level 3

Radicles, or Rad as he is known by, is an alien teenager from the Planet X, who also works as a shelf stocker at the bodega. Rad slacks off the most out of the trio despite claiming to be all powerful and showing off.[14] He boasts a tough masculine exterior, but is actually rather mild compared to other heroes and, as shown in "You Are Rad," possesses a softer side that he refuses to acknowledge for fear of being embarrassed.[15] As matter of fact, Rad is prone to crying more often than the others and is therefore much more sensitive to having his feelings hurt.[16]

Mr. Gar

Mr. Gar
First appearance "Lakewood Plaza Turbo" (Pilot)
"Let's Be Heroes" (Actual)
Created by Ian Jones-Quartey
Voiced by David Herman
Age Past his prime
Hero Level 11

Eugene "Mr. Gar" Garcia[17] is the owner of the bodega and oversees the plaza. He is the employer of K.O., Enid, and Rad who he is always testing them by giving them a variety of tasks.[18] He is tough, serious and prideful of the plaza and wishes that no harm will come of it. However, he has on occasion shown to not mind his employees slacking as he considers it "normal". He has shown to be embarrassed whenever someone praises him or when he is around Carol who he obviously has feelings for. In "We Messed Up," he keeps a picture of her in his office.[19] In "T.K.O.," he openly admits that he is in love with her. In the same episode, it is shown that he is uncomfortable with telling K.O. that he is proud of him.[20] He also might be uncomfortable spending quality time with him as when K.O. insisted on going to a stakeout with him, Mr. Gar was hesitant to open up to him about personal matters.[21]

Carol

Carol
First appearance "Lakewood Plaza Turbo" (Pilot)
"Let's Be Heroes" (Actual)
Created by Ian Jones-Quartey
Voiced by Kate Flannery
Age Adult (it's rude to ask)
Hero Level 11

Carol is K.O.'s single mother and the owner of "Fitness Emotions" at the plaza. Carol is a tough woman who loves her son immensely and dotes on him like a typical mother. Her fitness dojo is usually visited by Ginger, Gladys and Gertie whom she looks at as her pupils and friends. She usually gives her son helpful advice only a mother could give, though it's not always clear what it is she is trying to teach.[22] She is good friends with Mr. Gar, but is slightly oblivious to his feelings for her. However, in "T.K.O.", she seems to acknowledge Mr. Gar's feelings for her, but doesn't seem to care, or at least seems to have known all along. In that same episode, it is revealed that Carol trained K.O. himself since his infancy.[20]

Dendy

Dendy
First appearance "Dendy" (Short)
"I Am Dendy" (Actual)
Created by Ian Jones-Quartey
Voiced by Melissa Fahn
Age 6-11
Hero Level 2

Dendy is a kappa in the same grade as K.O., who uses technology to fight. In "I Am Dendy" she approached K.O. on the pretext of needing help fixing her backpack just so she could study him, but bonded with him over their shared interests and now considers him a friend. Though Dendy is aware of K.O.'s lack of tech expertise, this does not appear to phase her even when he accidentally released a virus on the plaza. She ultimately values her time with K.O. and considers him a close friend.[23] In "You're in Control" Dendy tells K.O. that she loves him and that he is appreciated, even admitting that he has helped her in the "emotional sciences".[16] She speaks in an almost robotic like manner due to her intelligence. However, her mannerisms seem to imply that she is autistic as evidenced by her lack of social cues and her slight misunderstanding of jokes.[24]

He has spiky blonde hair and a big sword and follows RPG logic such as grinding and overstocking on potions. After another encounter with Galgarion that ends in a draw, K.O. is fed up with their repetitive cycle and wishes to do other things. Inspired by his epiphany, Hero decides to do the same thing and returns to his girlfriend, Cherry, whom he marries and has a baby with her they named Spaghetti and he resumes doing quests but this time his family joins him on his adventures now.[25]

Captain Planet

Voiced by David Coburn
Origin: Captain Planet and the Planeteers
Hero Level: Planet

An eco-friendly superhero that can only be summoned through the power of the five elemental rings: Earth, Wind, Fire, Water and Heart. As his name implies, he fights to protect the earth from all forms of eco-wrongdoing including pollution, greed and crime. He is highly revered by the residents of Lakewood Plaza Turbo. Captain Planet is once again called upon by the Planeteers, which consists of Kwame and the Lakewood Plaza Heroes, to battle Dr. Blight and Lord Boxman. He and Kwame attempted to stop climate change many years ago, but were unable to, resulting in all the Planeteers except Kwame to quit. However, thanks to K.O., Enid and Rad, the gang create a PSA to remind people to preserve the planet, with the original Planeteers appearing in non-speaking cameos.[26]

Kwame

Voiced by LeVar Burton
Origin: Captain Planet and the Planeteers

Kwame is one of the five Planeteers who summons Captain Planet. He hails from Ghana, Africa and possesses the Earth ring. The other four Planeteers (Wheeler, Linka, Gi, and Ma-Ti) had given up due to the amount of eco-wrongdoing (and to get real jobs). With the help of the Lakewood Plaza Heroes, Kwame and Captain Planet defeat Lord Boxman and Dr. Blight. The gang create a PSA and it is implied that the other Planeteers returned as they too appear.[26]

Ghoul School Gang

Voiced by Russi Taylor (Phantasma), Susan Blu (Sibella), Pat Musick (Elsa Frankenteen), Natalie Palamides (Winnie) and Kristen Li (Tanis)
Origin: Scooby-Doo and the Ghoul School

The Ghoul School Gang were Enid's friends from before she attended Lakewood Plaza Elementary School. Their group consisted of:

  • Phantasma - A friendly ghost girl who leads the group.
  • Sibella - A feisty vampire who is the most frightening of the group.
  • Elsa Frankenteen - A tough and slightly slow witted Frankenstein monster.
  • Winnie - A rambunctious werewolf girl.
  • Tanis - A shy, but friendly mummy girl.

The gang would hang out with Enid who was their witch of the group. Not having seen her in years, they were seemingly unaware of her transition to that of a ninja and insisted that she show off her witch powers. An enchanted tree caused by Enid's inexperience over the years eats Winnie and Tanis and proceeds to dance off with them. When Enid finally confesses that she no longer considers herself a monster like them, they admit that they knew all along that she was into ninjas; having found one of her manga books and realizing that it "made sense". They nevertheless resolve her issue by rescuing Winnie and Tanis and the gang all dance together knowing that they are still friends.[13]

Garnet is the leader of the Crystal Gems who is inexplicably taken from her world and ends up in Cartoon Network City where she is hunted by the mysterious Strike. She teams up with K.O., Ben 10 and Raven to stop him and to rescue the inhabitants of the multiverse. Over the course of "Crossover Nexus", Garnet forms a motherly bond with K.O. and a friendship of sorts with Ben and Raven. Initially, her sunglasses are destroyed by Strike which according to her are meant to focus her future vision and also are actually prescription glasses. Eventually, she and the team defeat Strike when K.O. retrieves his pen and returns the heroes missing abilities. Just before leaving to her own world, she creates a POW card of herself for K.O. using Strike's pen and offers words of encouragement.[27]

Ben Tennyson / Ben 10

Voiced by Tara Strong (Ben) and John DiMaggio (Four Arms)
Origin: Ben 10 (2016 series) (series) Ben 10 (2005 series) (actual)

Ben Tennyson, or Ben 10 for short, is a tween who possesses the Omnitrix, a strange alien wrist watch that allows Ben to transform into ten different alien forms. In "Crossover Nexus" he finds himself in Cartoon Network City along with K.O., Garnet and Raven battling Strike, a mysterious being hellbent on destroying the Cartoon Network heroes. Strike ends up removing Ben's Omnitrix while he is still in his Four Arms mode, leaving stuck until he can get his Omnitrix back. Being rather young, he admires his own abilities above the rest of the team, but nevertheless forms a special bond with them. Eventually, K.O. retrieves Strike's pen and returns Ben's Omnitrix and the other team's abilities. Ben's Omnitrix however, now allows him to transform into any Cartoon Network character and he uses this new ability to defeat Strike and save the Cartoon Network universe. Ben returns to his world excited to tell his cousin Gwen and grandpa Max about his latest adventure.[27]

Raven

Voiced by Tara Strong

In "Crossover Nexus" she ends up in the Cartoon Network City where she was already taken out by Strike, but due to her magic background was not turned to stone like the others. She is rescued by K.O., Garnet and Ben 10 and immediately joins their group to take down Strike. Raven, while sarcastic and somewhat cynical, takes a liking to her new friends and even compliments K.O. for being "smarter than Beast Boy". K.O. manages to get Strike's pen and returns all the heroes abilities including Raven's magic. After taking down Strike and rescuing the other heroes, Raven uses her abilities to return K.O., Garnet and Ben home. Raven nearly goes back to the world of Teen Titans before correcting herself at the last minute.[27]

Villains

Boxmore

Lord Boxman

Lord Boxman is the primary antagonist of Season 1 who is the founder and CEO of Boxmore, a munitions factory for villains that is located across the street from Lakewood Plaza which he is obsessed with destroying he despises "friendship" and views it as a weakness.[28] As revealed in both "Legends of Mr. Gar" and "Lad & Logic", his real name is Lad Boxman and he built his company with the help of his first creation Mr. Logic. But when Mr. Gar built Lakewood Plaza, Boxman became obsessed in destroying it.[29] This eventually lead to Boxman having a falling out with Mr. Logic, replacing his right-hand with new and less logic-minded robots in the form of infant versions of Darrell, Shannon, Jethro and Ernesto. This outright explains his more recent robots' intelligence and his reasoning for having them act as his obedient children.[6] While viewing them as his children, Boxman constantly has them destroyed whenever they fail him.

Darrell

Darrell is the robot teen "son" of Lord Boxman who wields a blaster on his arm, mass-produced so he can transfer his consciousness into a replacement body whenever a current one is destroyed, his model having variations that include Mega Darrell. But the Darrell models as a whole act on a hive mind, which can be a bit detrimental if multiple Darrell models are activated all at once for menial purposes and cause the primary Darrel to become distracted. Darrell also seems to have an unusual obsession with playing dress up for no reason, preferring to dress as a cowboy and once admitting to wear cowboy boots in bed.[25][30][17]

In "Boxman Crashes", he renames Boxmore to DarrellMore, but is shown to be depressed. Upon Boxman returning, he happily gives him his job back as the "Daddy" of the company.[31]

Shannon

Shannon is the robot teen "daughter" of Lord Boxman who produces buzz saws from her arms and legs, her body mass-produced so she can transfer her consciousness into a replacement body whenever her current one is destroyed. More capable and better equipped than Darrel, Shannon is as conniving though she secretly cares for her brother despite wanting to one-up him and prove herself as their father's favorite.[32][8] Furthermore, Shannon is a loyal daughter to Boxman despite his abusive nature and thus follows his commands in an bizarre totalitarian fashion to not upset him.[33][34] At one event, Shannon was struck by lightning and fell in love with Rad as a result of a hardware malfunction. But this was later rectified when she eventually self-destructed and transferred into a new body.[35] For some strange reason, Shannon's model possesses human feet which tends to with nail polish.[17] After Darrell takes over Boxmore, Shannon has shown to actually be in support of her brother's achievement,[36] though at times she is still humiliated by him.[37]

Raymond

Raymond is the fashionable robot teen "son" of Lord Boxman with an affinity for roses who fights using sports equipment, his body mass-produced so he can transfer his consciousness into a replacement body whenever his current one is destroyed. Compared to Darrell and Shannon, while sharing their refusal of being upstaged, Raymond is more powerful and combat trained. Raymond first appears in "Sibling Rivalry" to succeed where Shannon and Darrell failed, through he also loses against the Lakewood Plaza Heroes (mostly because their siblings can't stand to see them win).[8] Outside of fighting the heroes of Lakewood Plaza Turbo, Raymond is shown to be unable to resist a good party as evidenced in "Plaza Prom" when he crashed the titular gathering simply so he can show off.[38] Despite his sinister persona, Raymond does shown concern like with Shannon as he fear Boxman would discontinue her model when she love with Rad[35] and is caring son to Boxman despite his creator's abuse.[33] After Darrell takes over Boxmore, Raymond has shown to actually be in support of his brother's achievement,[36] though at times he is still humiliated by him.[37]

Ernesto

Ernesto is a top-hat wearing robot henchman of Lord Boxman, his body mass-produced so he can transfer his consciousness into a replacement body whenever his current one is destroyed. Multiple Ernestos are activated by Boxman to do office work at Boxmore, the model as a whole not getting much combat experience while more focused on doing paperwork.[39] But as revealed in "OK Dendy", Ernesto is a formidable fighter capable of using his orb-shaped body as a weapon and can still function after being broken in half.[40] In "Let's Watch the Boxmore Show", he is revealed to have a comb over hidden under his hat.[37]

Jethro

Jethro is a "robo-kid" henchman of Lord Boxman who can transfer his consciousness into a replacement body when he is destroyed. Jethro is a slow moving robot who can only say "I am Jethro!", or "I am Mega Jethro!" in case of the Mega Jethro model, which irritates Rad and Enid while hinting Jethro's non-conscious and simple nature. The model as a whole function as cannon fodder whose only object to moving function, Jethro having been known to read about existentialism in their spare time.[41] During "Jethro's All Yours", K.O. attempted to reason to Jethro before accepting the robot is beyond any form of reasoning.[42] In "Let's Watch the Boxmore Show", it is revealed that despite his one and only phrase he repeats, it apparently can translate to something else. K.O. is also shown to still care about him to some extent.[37]

Mikayla

Mikayla, voiced by Melissa Fahn, is animal-based robot that reside in Boxmore as a "pet" in Boxman's family,[34] her body likely mass-produced so she can transfer her consciousness into a replacement body whenever the current one is destroyed. While her programming enables her to be unpredictable, Mikayla is very kind and courteous during her downtime with a desire of being human. First appearing in "We've Got Fleas", Mikayla's animalistic fighting style overwhelmed K.O., Rad, and Enid until they became were-animals to beat her at her own game. Despite her loss, Mikayla expresses respect for the three and later helps them with their were-animal status when they attend a party hosted by the human-costume group that she is part of.[43] Despite her grunts and growls, they can be translated into rather well articulated English.[36]

Boxman Jr.

Boxman Jr., voiced by: Jim Cummings, is an infant robot modeled after Boxman whose existence is first hinted in "Action News", where Boxman attempted to conceal his child's existence from the public.[17] Boxman Jr. officially debuts in "You're in Control", installed with a chip that Professor Venomous gave Boxman and set to destroy Lakewood Plaza. K.O ultimately destroys Boxman Jr. after harnessing T.K.O.'s power.[16]

Other Villains

Professor Venomous

Professor Venomous, voiced by Steven Ogg, is a purple-skinned super-villain and one of Lord Boxman's clients. In "We're Captured," he arrives at Boxmore after being invited for dinner. He is mostly calm throughout the entire invite and seems rather annoyed at Boxman's lack of focus. He reveals that he was going to cut off his business from Boxman because he seemed "distracted", but changes his mind when Boxman single-handedly takes apart Darrell and Shannon to create an effective gun to defeat K.O., Enid and Rad.[30] Despite being a villain, K.O. seems to admire him or rather his Pow Card.[44][24]

Fink

Fink, voiced by Lara Jill Miller, is a small mouse-like creature that assists Professor Venomous. She first appears in "We're Captured," where she is shown to be obsessed with aiding her master to the point that she refuses to have anyone take his coat. When no one is looking she will sniff his clothes. It is implied that Venomous created her explaining her obsession.[30] In the episode "Villains Night In", it is shown she can turn into Turbo Fink, who a parallel to T.K.O.. While she is more experienced and has more control over how to use her power. The duration of her transformation is limited and requires energy-based orbs called "Glorbs") for her to transform.

Shadowy Figure

Shadowy Figure, voiced by Steven Ogg, is K.O.'s nemesis whose body is hidden under a black cloth, though the visible portion of his face shares similarities with Professor Venomous. In "T.K.O", he convinces K.O to unleash his anger, become T.K.O, and destroy the plaza. In the end, he swears to come back one day.[20] He returns in "Let's Have a Stakeout" where he tricks K.O. into opening a door to a secret fountain under the plaza filled with Glorbs he intended to steal. Even though K.O. defeats him, he hints that he isn't working alone.[21] When K.O trusted him, he seemed to have a hero level of 8, though the hero level changed to -8 when it became clear that Shadowy Figure never intended on helping him. Besides K.O., only Brandon has seen him in person, but only for a few moments.[20]

Cosma

Cosma, voiced by Marina Sirtis, is an orange telekinetic reptile who can cause objects to disappear and reappear at will.[33][45] The leader of Boxmore's investors, she takes her job very seriously and finds Lord Boxman and his obsession with Lakewood Plaza a total nuisance. But as she and the other investors are dependent on his products, they give Boxman a chance to prove he is capable of running Boxmore by not attacking the plaza for 24 hours during the events of "Stop Attacking the Plaza".[33] Later learning from Darrel that Boxman is still attacking the plaza and his most recent attempt having damaged Boxmore itself as depicted in "You're in Control", Cosma has Boxman fired into the sun and promotes Darrel as the new head of Boxmore.[16]

Vormulax

Vormulax, voiced by Kari Wahlgren is an evil alien and Shy Ninja's arch-enemy. Despite their constant interactions, Vormulax is perplexed by Shy Ninja's shyness.[5] She is revealed to be one of Lord Boxman's investors and is also annoyed by his obsession with destroying the plaza.[33]

Billiam Milliam

Billiam Milliam, voiced by Justin McElroy, is a gold skinned supervillain, billionaire and investor. Among the things he invests in is Boxmore. However, he much like his fellow members cannot understand why Lord Boxman is fixated on destroying the plaza.[33]

Steamborg

Steamborg, voiced by David Herman, is a giant being made of levitating rocks and a villain from Carol and Mr. Gar's past. The rocks form arms and legs and appear to be held together by a giant pink ball. His weakness is the giant natural eyeball at the top of his body. Using teamwork, Mr. Gar, Carol and Rippy Roo manage to defeat him.[46] He reappears in the present, with a giant googly eye to replace his old one and wishes revenge on all members of P.O.I.N.T. He is once again swiftly defeated.[47]

T.K.O.

Turbo K.O., voiced by Cortenay Taylor, is a manifestation of K.O.'s repressed anger and sense of helplessness, initially seen in "Face Your Fears" as a shadowy version of K.O.,[11] before Shadowy Figure made him fully come to being in "T.K.O." Being the opposite of K.O., T.K.O. is an antisocial and rage-filled person who expresses K.O.'s true feelings toward certain things while enjoying a good fight to the point of attacking even K.O.'s friends.[20]
