The Governor of the Northern Province, Sri Lanka (Sinhalese: උතුරු පළාත් ආණ්ඩුකාරවරයා Uthuru palāth āndukāravarayā) is the head of the provincial government and exercises executive power over subjects devolved to the Northern Provincial Council.[1] The governor is appointed by the President of Sri Lanka for a period of five years.[1] The position is currently occupied by Reginald Cooray, also current Governor of the Central Province.
