List of Burnley F.C. managers

This is a chronological list of Burnley managers from the founding of Burnley Football Club in 1882 until the present. Each manager's entry includes the dates of his tenure and the club's overall competitive record (in terms of matches won, drawn and lost) and honours and achievements won while under his care.

In 1893, club secretary Arthur Sutcliffe was asked to combine his current duties with that of taking responsibility for the team. Until then, the team had been selected by a committee before that responsibility passed to the board of directors. The first full-time manager of the club was Spen Whittaker from 1903 to 1910.

Burnley has been served by 33 different permanently appointed managers, excluding five caretaker managers, all of them born in the United Kingdom. The longest serving manager was Harry Potts, who managed the club for a total of 728 competitive matches, from February 1958 to February 1970 and from February 1977 to October 1979. The club's most successful managers in terms of competitive honours are John Haworth and Harry Potts, who both won two major honours while managing The Clarets.

Sean Dyche is Burnley's current manager.
