Lisburn Courthouse

Lisburn Courthouse is located in Lisburn, County Antrim, Northern Ireland. The building in Railway Street is home to Magistrate and County courts.[1]

Lisburn Courthouse was originally involved in the processing of magistrates’ court business and occasional county court sittings. Services were improved by introducing a county court section to process applications for divorce, small claims hearings and civil bills. In 2005 there were twelve staff, normally dealing with two court sittings each day.[2]

The now demolished Lisburn Courthouse was built and designed by Paul MacHenry, civil engineer. He was from the early Nineteenth Century.
