Lisa Lambe is an Irish singer and actress and a former member of the ensemble Celtic Woman. Her career encompasses theatre, film, television, radio, and live performances, touring both as a member of Celtic Woman and as a solo artist.[1] She recorded her debut solo album, Hiding Away, in Nashville in 2014. It was released in Ireland in 2015.

Early career

Lambe started out in the performing arts at the age of three, and graduated with a Bachelor of Acting Studies from Trinity College, Dublin.[2] She has been a featured soloist with Ireland’s RTÉ Concert Orchestra, and was a soloist on Ireland’s popular TV program The Late Late Show, leading to collaborations with RTÉ affiliated musicians Shay Healy and Frank McNamara.[1]

She was nominated for a Best Actress Award at the Irish Times Theatre Awards for her performance in the lead role of Philomena O Shea in Rough Magic’s musical Improbable Frequency, where she performed at The Edinburgh Theatre Festival, in Torun (Poland), and in Dublin.[1]

Lambe performed as a member of Celtic Woman from 2011 to 2014 before returning to solo projects in both music and acting. In early 2014, Celtic Woman announced Lisa Lambe would leave to reprise her role as Sorcha in Breaking Dad, the sequel to Between a Foxrock and a Hard Place, in which she had previously played a role and whose run at the Gaiety Theatre in Dublin, Ireland, lasted from 25 April to 17 May. However, she was scheduled to return in the summer.

In February 2015, Lambe released her self-produced debut album, Hiding Away in Ireland followed shortly by a worldwide release and a US launch of the album in Nashville TN. The single "Heaven" from this album featured some of the members of ALONE Ireland, a charity with which Lambe is affiliated.[3]
