Linus (mythology)

In Greek mythology, Linus (Greek: Λῖνος Linos "flax") may refer to the following personages:

Male

• Linus, son of impious Lycaon.^[1]
• Linus, the great musician son of Apollo.^[2][3]
• Linus, son of Apollo and Psamathe.^[4][5]
• Linus, a soldier in the army of the Seven Against Thebes. He was killed by Hypseusat Thebes.^[6]

Female

• Linos, in some accounts, the nymph mother of Pelops by Atlas.^[7]
