Line 1 of the Shijiazhuang Metro (Chinese: 石家庄地铁一号线; pinyin: Shíjiāzhuāng Dìtiě Yī Hào Xiàn) is a rapid transit line running from east to west. It is 23.9 km (14.9 mi) long with 20 stations. The line opened on 26 June 2017.

History

The first phase of the line began construction on 1 July 2013 and began service on 26 June 2017, completed at a cost of ¥18.892 billion.[1]

Future plans

The 13.531 km (8.408 mi) second phase of the line, with eight stations, began construction in 2017, and is scheduled to open in 2019.[2] Eventually, the line is to have an L-shape and 29 stations.[3]

Rolling stock

Services are provided by CRRC Tangshan type A trains, which are operated in six-car sets that hold up to 1860 passengers each.[4]
